Boracay for the Tita-ish

Image
The right time to update places I've been to is NOW. Hahaha! I've been slacking to post updates and reviews about provinces, sceneries, food, and other places I visited to this blog. I've been busy with my writing gigs, corporate jobs, and family life. But, it's never too late. Though this post won't make it for the summer cut, because it's now June and just a day left and it will finally be July, at least we can still book flights to Boracay without grilling ourselves too much. I visited Boracay for work. We had a photoshoot there when I was still connected with a hotel and it was during the Laboracay season. How pitiful coming to Boracay for work! Hahaha! But we did enjoy LaBoracay, of course! Since I'm a TITA, I was sleepy the whole night. Hahaha! I finally came to the acceptance that gone are the days when I can party all night and stay awake until 7 or 8 in the morning. For those of you who sort of 'feel' me in this case, you can st...

Estancia Resort Hotel, Tagaytay City

"Your work is your art and your art is your craft." As Tina Fey rolled it. I couldn't agree more. When I finished my Bachelor's Degree, of course, I have to identify what will come right after and I have to say that planning all of these wasn't easy. We always wonder what we need to do next and next and next. You just have to keep going and getting stuck wouldn't be your option. *deep breath* Blessed enough, I could say, well... maybe, I'm one of those people who can practice their craft having way too fun and loving every detail of it. It was a choice to pursue Marketing and Communication, and somehow between that, the universe luckily threw that option to me, shove it in my face and I went for it. Of course, there are so many things going on for me aside from that - additional academic units, writing, journalism, and many other things. The perks of work are fascinating and working with intelligent people is one of those, traveling comes next and the ...

Shercon Resort and Ecology Park

Image
Summer couldn't get any better when you get to spend it with happy and yes, funny people. Our whole company went to Shercon Resort and Ecology Park in Batangas for our Rest and Recreation Activity. Remember the feeling when you were a kid and you had your field trip for the very first time? That's how it felt! Photo by Shainne Hostalero  This is the view from our room's veranda. The place was really serene and you might want to relocate there when you first set your foot on the resort ground. The almost 3-hour travel time was all worth it.  Photo by Ms. Cherry Asuncion, RP, RGC We tried so many activities like Zipline, Rappelling, Wall Climbing and Maze. This is the photo of the maze we conquered. Almost 20 of us went in and it took us no more than 30 minutes, I guess. Hahaha! It's not easy like how it really looks, nonetheless, it was of the funniest experience we had at the resort. Good thing the tour guides gave us a hint on how we can finish the maze ...

Talipanan Beach, Puerto Galera 2015

Image
Do you, by any chance, wonder why beautiful places soothe your mood? It is because new experiences bring us a certain touch from the world that could calm us. Travelling to beautiful places makes us realize how blessed we are to finally have a glimpse of the wonderful nature. Last Holy Week 2015 (April 4-5, 2015), Rara and I decided to have our getaway to one of the most relaxed beaches (still) in Mindoro, the Talipanan Beach. Puerto Galera isn't something new to me. In fact, I've visited it hundreds of times before, so I tried different beaches there then. I have gone to White Beach and Sabang Beach way back, and very recent, Talipanan Beach. That, I must say, the most relaxed one.  We are not fond of partying or drinking (well, not anymore). Maybe because as you grow older, you will outgrow these kind of things and you will realize that sleeping late is not the 'deal' anymore (oldies. Hehe! )  That was what we like about the beach. It was just comforting...

Make a difference

Image
As a Youth Advocate, I encourage everyone to join the campaign to help the Filipino youth achieve what's best for them. Proper education and the importance of it and children's rights are the things I am keen on promoting and giving to the children in all possible ways that I can - through articles/write-ups, volunteerism, donations, and spreading the good word to help those children be sent to schools, achieve their goals and dreams in life and what's truly right for them. We, even in the simplest way, can help those who are in need. Helping doesn't have to be grand; we should know that the tinniest gestures of help really do matter and could change one's life. Let's lend a hand to those who are in need of assistance. We can MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Be in the know! Support UNICEF Philippines: (To know more, click the link below.) UNICEF Philippines

Puerto Galera 2014

Image
May 31 - June 1, 2014; Sabang Beach, Puerto Galera, Mindoro, Philippines June 7 - 8, 2013; White Beach, Puerto Galera, Mindoro, Philippines I am somehow a Puerto Galera kind of girl, even those time that it wasn't that too mainstream yet. Exploring the beach life, getting sunkissed tan skin and salty hair are the things I love whenever I set foot on the beach. Puerto Galera, is by far, the nearest white beach and accessible beach I can go to whenever I feel like it or whenever I feel like I needed some place to cool my mind.  This 2014 (and 2012 and 2013), I went to a series of heartbreaks. Every year it seems to have something achy though I am still thankful. Not everytime is a heartbreak to endure, there are still times that I feel I'm on a cloud 9, happiness that are bound to last forever or something to that effect if there's really none.  I am not afraid to travel alone. I love it, actually. It makes me know myself more. My mistakes, weaknesses, and s...

What's up, Janet?

2014 is the year we believed... the year of changes - well, always every turn. I guess, the reason behind this is the fact that we are still hoping that something is going to change. For the better. 2013 was full of disarray yet we still managed to get through. Every single Filipino is aware of what happened at the high-top offices or sectors of the country - corruption. Janet Napoles, the alleged mastermind pissed us off, turn our butts and head around for she did not confess anything and from there we do not know if she ever will.  There are so many things that this vulnerable country cannot contain anymore. Instead of solving, we are all looking on the side of "who's to blame" for this government mobocracy. One thing is for sure, we are all going to be saddened by the truth; and by not knowing it at all, I guess.  They say Janet Napoles can save us by singing her heart out to name all the politicians that are into this alleged Pork-Barrel Scam - Janet Napol...
