Yes Yes Saturday (and Yes Yes by The Colourist)

Image
Woke up so early on a Saturday. Finally, a long long vacation. I'm thinking if I can binge out my way out of Metro Manila this coming week. But since some of the roads I'm looking at routing to will be closed, I'm thinking of an alternative. Perhaps, iflix. Yes? Vacation is not coming through just yet; I still have a talk later this afternoon in one of the schools in Quezon City. So hype! Hopefully, it can turn out something really nice. My current morning is filled with total music blast before I get to work on a Saturday. From Stone Temple Pilots to Nirvana to Florence + The Machine and to some indie music - and eventually came across this poppy Yes Yes song by The Colourist. A total break from the past weeks that we are rushing and chasing time for deadlines and before the next big days to come in lieu of some strategic planning for the next year. If you were to ask me how's life treating me, I say the usual. It is crazy. A fun crazy. I don't even kn...

A Great Music Drive Thru, Eraserheads

Image
We've witnessed and still experiencing their band's success. Turning on to the 90s, well, some of us were still little way back then, but they still brought in the universal hint of their music and art up until today. Eraserheads or E-heads for some was one of the most influential and successful bands of the 90s. Formed by Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro and Raimund Marasigan, Eraserheads couldn't be taken away from the history of OPM. Bombarded with so many awards and nominations in the music industry, E-heads made it to the top and won those prestigious music distinctions. After more than a decade of rhythm and grace, the band called it quits, had so many tributes by the bands of the new generation and cling to have reunions to sphere off the band's demand. Though the members set to live different paths, their still on the same industry that made them paramount - music. Contrived to different bands of today, made hopes for the new generation of music a...

Absolutely music, absolutely Franco

Image
OPM at its best! Rumors has it, I can't even... T.T I heard that one of my favorite OPM bands is actually disbanding. That's definitely sad for the music scene. I saw updates from my friends referring that the band Franco is calling it quits. I remember the very first time my friend, Aldrin, introduced me to Franco songs, not divulging what band it really was and all, just the plain songs itself. It sounded really international and I told him that their songs were really nailing it; every word, every rhythm and all stuff. Then he laughed at me and proudly told me that it's OPM! I was like wow! Franco is really extraordinary, very classy and expressive. Every lyrics on every stroke, indeed... Truthful. Another friend told me that the last gigs that Franco performed were already on a verge of going solo. Franco, playing acoustic sets alone; after that, the news popped out that the band is really calling it quits, just like what many other bands did. It's heartbre...

My Emptiness | Ciudad

Image
There's gotta be something to ponder on this summer. The sunny day, the heat and everything that a graduating student and soon to be an official part of the 'real' society is going through. I don't know where I'm up to or where I want to be, the sinking in part is not yet into me so the life full of reveries is still a life full of reveries. An escapist, who loves to deal with monsters and zombies, literally and figuratively, is actually having tutorials, alone learning and alone dealing; not an emo though, but I don't know what's going on your mind and I just might don't pay attention. So the so called emptiness that blurring up my view is something to be taken good care of, yes, because it feels right. Ciudad's My Emptiness is the perfect soundtrack for this perturbation. Teehee! The video is awesome and the lyrics hit me amazingly. Nice! Enjoy the Friday everyone, I hope you can enjoy the stuff that's blurring up your mind too. My Em...

Save Me

Image
Save Me by Remy Zero: I'm listening to the song almost the whole night and it makes me remember some episodes of Smallville. Remy Zero got that so powerful voice and the lyrics could sum up what I was feeling 2 months ago. Yes, a little crazy huh? Posting some stuff that was actually related to how you felt months ago; because building a bright future and engaging yourself to paper works are stressful, the only thing that was in my head, Save Me. It's June already. Therefore, there's more to consider and there's more to work hard on (harder than the previous ones, maybe). A lot of thoughts are coming into me lately, subtle. I don't want to suffer on a certain turmoil, I know I should stop thinking too much 'cause thoughts like these can make me bewildered. Might as well, enjoy the remaining days of my vacation.   Save Me | Remy Zero  I feel my wings have broken in your hands I feel the words unspoken inside When they pull you under And I would give you an...

Linger:   verb to be slow in parting or quitting something                       to remain alive although gradually dying                       to remain existent although often warning in strength, importance or influence                      Linger : a song by The Cranberries The Cranberries is one of my favorite bands, a great musical influence to me plus their songs really soothes me the best. They are widely associated with alternative rock, they also incorporates with indie, indie-pop, pop rock, pop, rock, post-punk and Irish folk. They formed in 1989 and boom the charts in 1990's, mainstream success from 1992-1995. Superb! Brand New Eyes

Image
Brand New Eyes Originally uploaded by Confetii ッ Paramore's Brand New Eyes. Well, this album is a way different than All We Know is Falling and Riot. The songs in this album talks a lot on attitude, friendships and others more on love. You can see the creativeness, different renditions and rhythms of each songs. Coming from Nashville, TN. I think Paramore tours gave this band more experiences, gaining friends in different places and concerning about what people might think. Well, it happens all the time, we aren't the same when it comes to looks, taste and preferences, the way we talk, the way we laugh, stare or many other things. We just need to accept or have a look on the good side of the people and learn how to deal with them. Well, I can say, this band is really ready for mature role in the industry, it reflects a lot to their songs. Brand New Eyes album gave so much pressure to Paramore because of the super duper success of the Final Riot, which maybe I think ca...
